El Meson de Pepe is a great exhibition of Cuba’s influence on Key West. The food at this restaurant is all authentically Cuban and totally delicious. I stepped out of my comfort zone and chose fish with a Cuban glaze and baked plantains with beans and Cuban rice. It made for a truly delicious and unique meal that could only be found here. The environment of this restaurant was almost as great as the food! The restaurant is located in the heart of Sunset pier, and we sat in a beautiful courtyard area outside, filled with fountains and twinkle lights. It was a superb dining experience that is a must in Key West!
